Design and Analysis of MataMorph-3: A Fully Morphing UAV with Camber-Morphing Wings and Tail Stabilizers

چکیده

Conventional aircraft use discrete flight control surfaces to maneuver during flight. The gaps and discontinuities of these generate drag, which degrades aerodynamic power efficiencies. Morphing technology aims replace conventional wings with advanced that can change their shape the minimum possible induced drag. This paper presents MataMorph-3, a fully morphing unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) camber-morphing tail stabilizers. Although previous research has presented successful designs for wing core mechanisms, skin suffered from wrinkling, warping, or sagging problems result in reduced reliability efficiency. stabilizers MataMorph-3 feature hybrid ribs solid leading-edge sections house servomotors, compliant trailing-edge integrated flexible ribbons are connected servomotors camber-morph ribs. Thin laminated carbon fiber composite slides smoothly over rib upon morphing, guided by innovative sliders skin-supporting linkage mechanisms strategically located between Sample prototypes were built tested show effectiveness proposed design solutions enabling smooth camber-morphing. provides better alternative stretchable skins airplane through concept sliding.

Folding in and out: passive morphing in flapping wings.

We present a new mechanism for passive wing morphing of flapping wings inspired by bat and bird wing morphology. The mechanism consists of an unactuated hand wing connected to the arm wing with a wrist joint. Flapping motion generates centrifugal accelerations in the hand wing, forcing it to unfold passively. Using a robotic model in hover, we made kinematic measurements of unfolding kinematics...

Morphing Airfoils with Four Morphing Parameters

An episodic unsupervised learning simulation using the Q-Learning method is developed to learn the optimal shape and shape change policy for a problem with four state variables. Optimality is addressed by reward functions based on airfoil properties such as lift coefficient, drag coefficient, and moment coefficient about the leading edge representing optimal shapes for specified flight conditio...

Design and Testing of a Morphing Wing for an Experimental UAV

A morphing concept for wing drag reduction for a small UAV is presented. The results of a computational assessment of the morphing concept benefits are shown. 14% to 30% drag reduction in different flight stages serve as motivation for the construction of a prototype. Design requirements of the morphing mechanism structure are pointed out and constructive solutions are shown. Feasibility and fu...

a comparison of teachers and supervisors, with respect to teacher efficacy and reflection

supervisors play an undeniable role in training teachers, before starting their professional experience by preparing them, at the initial years of their teaching by checking their work within the proper framework, and later on during their teaching by assessing their progress. but surprisingly, exploring their attributes, professional demands, and qualifications has remained a neglected theme i...
